연혁
본 학과는 2011년 설립 이래, 국내외 작업치료 교육 기준과 이론을 체계적으로 도입·정립하며 교육과 연구의 기반을 구축해 왔다. 특히 정신건강, 발달, 지역사회 기반 작업치료를 중심으로 한 임상 전문 인력 양성과 더불어, AI 기반 재활보조공학을 접목한 미래지향적 작업치료 교육을 핵심 전략으로 교육체계를 발전시켜 왔다.
2020년에는 통합 석·박사 과정으로 확대·개편하여, CMOP-E, IRM, MOHO 등 주요 작업치료 이론을 심층적으로 연계·적용하는 고급 연구 교육체계를 확립하였으며, 임상 전문성과 연구 역량을 동시에 갖춘 고급 전문 인력 양성 기반을 마련하였다.
현재는 정신건강·발달·지역사회 작업치료와 AI 재활보조공학을 융합하고, 뇌과학 기반 전 생애 작업치료 연구를 수행하는 지역 거점 학과로서, 이론과 실무가 유기적으로 연계된 통합형 교육과정을 운영하고 있다. 또한 간호학, 물리치료학, 원예공학, 실내건축디자인학, 지역사회복지학 등 다양한 전공 교수진과의 실질적인 다학제 협력 연구 체계를 기반으로, 지역사회 참여, 다양성 존중, 사회정의 실현을 핵심 가치로 한 교육·연구를 지속적으로 고도화하고 있다.
A Tradition of Excellence and Innovation
Since its establishment in 2011, the Department of Occupational Therapy has built a solid foundation for education and research by systematically incorporating domestic and international standards and theories in occupational therapy. The department has emphasized advanced clinical training in mental health, developmental, and community-based occupational therapy, while strategically integrating AI-based rehabilitation and assistive technology into future-oriented education.
In 2020, the department was expanded into an integrated master’s and doctoral program, establishing an advanced educational framework that enables in-depth theoretical integration and application of CMOP-E, IRM, and MOHO, while cultivating professionals with both clinical excellence and research competence.
Today, the department serves as a regional hub for life-span occupational therapy research grounded in neuroscience and the convergence of mental health, developmental, and community-based practice with AI rehabilitation technology. In addition, it operates a practical and sustainable interdisciplinary research system in collaboration with faculty from nursing, physical therapy, horticultural engineering, interior architectural design, and community social welfare, continuously advancing education and research grounded in community engagement, respect for diversity, and the realization of social justice.
교육목표
- 인간의 전 생애에 걸친 작업의 의미와 가치를 이론적·과학적으로 심층 탐구하고, 삶 중심의 작업치료를 통해 개인과 지역사회의 삶의 질 향상에 기여하는 전문 작업치료사를 양성한다.
- 정신건강, 발달, 지역사회 기반 작업치료 역량을 균형 있게 갖추고, 클라이언트 중심(Client-centered) 철학과 문화적 민감성을 바탕으로 맞춤형 작업치료를 제공할 수 있는 고급 임상 전문 인력을 양성한다.
- CMOP-E, IRM, MOHO 등 핵심 작업치료 이론을 기반으로 임상과 연구를 연계한 심화연구 역량을 함양하여, 이론과 실제를 정교하게 통합할 수 있는 학문적 전문성을 확립한다.
- AI 기반 재활보조공학(Artificial Intelligence-Based Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology)과 뇌과학 기반 접근을 이해하고 임상에 적용할 수 있는 디지털·융합 역량을 함양하여, 미래 보건의료 환경을 선도할 수 있는 작업치료 전문가를 양성한다.
- 아동부터 고령자에 이르는 전 생애 작업치료 연구를 수행할 수 있는 통합적 연구 역량을 갖추고, 발달·노화·정신건강·지역사회 재활 전반을 포괄하는 전문 연구 인력을 양성한다.
- 간호학, 물리치료학, 원예공학, 실내건축디자인학, 지역사회복지학 등과의 실질적인 다학제 협력 연구를 수행할 수 있는 융합형 연구 역량을 함양한다.
- 지역사회 참여, 사회적 약자에 대한 옹호, 다양성 존중을 기반으로 사회정의를 실천하는 책임 있는 전문 작업치료사를 양성한다.
평생학습을 토대로 연구, 교육, 임상, 정책, 옹호, 리더십 등 다양한 영역에서 주도적인 역할을 수행할 수 있는 고급 보건의료 전문 인력을 양성한다.
